Prophets of Rage Tap AWOLNATION to Open on U.S. Tour
Rage Against the Machine super group will tour with AWOLNATION
Prophets of Rage are hitting the road in the U.S. this summer and fall, and the super group has tapped their opener: AWOLNATION. The Aaron Bruno-fronted band will open for Prophets of Rage — which brings together Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, along with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real — on the Make America Rage Again tour, kicking off Aug. 19 in Fairfax, Virginia.
“We are super psyched to have AWOLNATION on tour with us,” Commerford said in a statement. “Aaron Bruno is an amazing musician and his band is sick and heavy, just the way we like it. They are gonna be awesome.”
Prophets of Rage not only announced AWOLNATION as their tour opener, but they’ve also added gigs Aug. 23 in Montreal and Aug. 28 in Uncasville, Connecticut. They also announced that their Cleveland show will take place July 19 at the Agora, the same day the Republican National Convention will take place.
