Metallica Announce ‘Metallica: Back to the Front’ Release Details
Metallica almost ready to release their ‘visual history’ book
The metal men of Metallic have unveiled the release date for their upcoming “visual history” book, Metallica: Back to the Front.” The set – which tells the tale of Metallica’s 1986 album, “Master of Puppets” – will arrive Sept. 13 and include never-before-published photos.
“Metallica: Back to the Front” will also feature a foreword penned by frontman James Hetfield, as well as an afterword written by Ray Burton, the father of former Metallica bass player, the late Cliff Burton. Cliff passed away in a bus accident following the release ofMaster of Puppets. He played bass guitar on Metallica’s first three studio album.
Metallica: Back to the Front is currently available for pre-order Metallica’s website.
In other news, the guys of Metallica are currently in the process or writing and recording their upcoming, 10th studio album. Fans have been waiting for the new tunes since Metallica released “Death Magnetic” in 2008. No word yet on when the new album will arrive.
