Stone Sour New Album Details via Corey Taylor
Corey Taylor has revealed the title of Stone Sour’s upcoming, sixth studio album
It’s the news Stone Sour fans have been waiting to hear. The Corey Taylor-fronted hard rock band is set to release a new album—and it’s not a covers set. Taylor revealed the title of the upcoming Stone Sour album in a new interview with Rock Cellar Magazine at the 2017 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, stating that the new collection will be called “Hydrograd.”
“There’s a long story behind that, but I’m not gonna tell it today,” he says.
So, what should Stone Sour fans expect from the new tunes? Taylor explained that he thinks the songs off Hydrograd are “incredible” and “the best stuff we’ve ever written.” With songs like “Through Glass” and “Bother” in Stone Sour’s catalog, those are pretty high marks.
“It is awesome, it is amazing,” he added. “People are gonna lose their minds when they hear it.”
“Hydrograd” is tentatively planned to arrive sometime in 2017. It will mark Stone Sour’s follow-up to their last studio album, 2013’s “House of Gold & Bones — Part 2.” “Hydrograd,” believe it or not, will also be Stone Sour’s sixth studio album.
