Mumford & Sons Announce New U.S. Tour Dates
Aside from opening for U2, Mumford & Sons have announced a string of headlining shows
Mumford & Sons have some big gigs coming up opening for U2, and as if that weren’t enough, the alt-folk group just announced three U.S. headlining concerts for the spring. The new shows will happen May 23 in Louisville, Kentucky; May 24 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania; and May 25 in Camden, New Jersey.
“When the band are on the road, they don’t always get the chance to visit all the places they’d like to,” Mumford & Sons said in a statement. “With that in mind, we’re very excited to announce a string of special headline shows in the States this May. It’s an opportunity to catch up with a few cities they haven’t been to recently and have a party.”
Tickets for the newly announced concerts will go on pre-sale beginning Wednesday (Jan. 25) and be available to the general public Friday (Jan. 27). For information, head to MumordandSons.com.
In addition to the upcoming U2 dates, which are part of U2’s “The Joshua Tree” 30th anniversary tour, Mumford and Sons will perform at the Hangout and Boston Calling music festivals in 2017.
