A Perfect Circle Release Powerful Video for ‘The Doomed’
A Perfect Circle is currently touring North America, and while the band has yet to release a new album, they did recently unleash a fresh single, “The Doomed.” Now, Maynard James Keenan and the guys have premiered the music video for “The Doomed,” and the imagery is just as dark and menacing as one would imagine from a song called “The Doomed.”
The video, which is streaming now via YouTube, features powerful, black-and-white images of each band member up close. Some of the shots are of individual band members, while other frames show the full band blankly looking into the video camera.
As the images in the clip quickly change from one band member to another, Keenan sings, “What of the pious, the pure of heart, the peaceful? What of the meek, the mourning, and the merciful?”
“The Doomed” marks the debut single off A Perfect Circle’s upcoming, fourth studio album, which will be the follow-up to the group’s 2004 release, “eMOTIVe.” The new collection is expected to arrive in 2018. No word yet on when Keenan’s other band, Tool, might unveil a new release.
A Perfect Circle’s North American tour will pick up again Friday (Nov. 17) in Pittsburgh. The tour is slated to wrap up Dec. 4 in Eugene, Oregon. For the full roster of tour dates, visit the band’s official website.
