Myles Kennedy is on target to release his first-ever solo album, “Year of the Tiger,” this spring, and now, the Alter Bridge frontman and Slash vocalist has released the title track from the set. The song arrives along with a music video that features footage of Kennedy singing the song in a rustic barn, as well as a boy walking through nature hand-in-hand with a mysterious adult. It’s an emotional video that should get Kennedy fans pumped for the upcoming record.

“Year of the Tiger” will arrive at all the usual outlets on March 9. The album’s title track is available now for digital download. As for what to expect on the new set, “Year of the Tiger” sees Kennedy, “embracing musical elements and influences he hasn’t explored until this point in his career,” according to a release.

“What emerges is a 12-song concept record inspired by the loss of his father when he was a child,” the statement continues. “Kennedy himself plays banjo, lap steel, bass, and mandolin in addition to guitar throughout the album.”
