Sevendust Announces New Album + 2018 Tour Dates
After teasing that they were in the mastering phase of their new record just a few weeks ago, the guys of Sevendust have announced full details for their upcoming album. The Atlanta metal band’s 12th studio album will be titled “All I See Is War” and arrive in stores on May 11. The record will mark Sevendust’s follow-up to 2015’s “Kill the Flaw,” which scored the guys a Grammy nomination for the single, “Thank You.”
Sevendust announced the news on their social media accounts at noon today (Feb. 28). The band also dropped the news that they will be headlining an extensive North American tour in support of the album this spring. The tour, which kicks off on April 20 in Tempe, Arizona, and runs through an early June date in Sioux City, Iowa.
The tour will also include support from Memphis May Fire, Fire from the Gods and Madame Mayhem. Festival dates on tap for Sevendust include appearances at Welcome to Rockville, Fort Rock and Rocklahoma.
Sevendust guitarist John Connolly recently spoke with Audio Ink Radio about his other band, Projected, and brought up the upcoming Sevendust album. “We signed a new record deal with Rise Records. We talked to a bunch of different labels, and Rise seemed like the best first for us. We all left the meeting with them feeling really good about the future,” he said.
“We started demoing songs and haven’t gotten together yet,” he added, “but we’re hoping to get together over the next few weeks and hammer a bunch of different ideas out. We’re working with producer Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette, who has worked with Slash and Alter Bridge, which we’re really excited about.”
