Thirty Seconds to Mars Announces 2018 Tour Dates, New Album
Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto sure knows how to make a new album and tour announcement. The rocker went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week to announce the release date of Thirty Seconds to Mars’ forthcoming, fifth studio album, and also announced a lengthy roster of tour dates for a headlining summer run. On top of that, Leto gave a ticket to a concert to everyone in the audience on the show that day.
The tour, which is being called The Monolith Tour, will begin with some Canadian dates in June and take the crew across the rest of North America to wrap up on July 22 in Arizona. Thirty Seconds to Mars will bring a collection of alternative rockers along for the ride, including Walk the Moon, K.Flay, MisterWives, Joywave, and Welshly Arms, with each group opening on select dates.
Tickets for the upcoming run will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. EST on Friday (Feb. 16) via LiveNation.com. Each purchase will also include a hard copy of the band’s new album. How’s that for some old-fashioned fun?
Thirty Seconds to Mars’ much-anticipated upcoming album is due out on April 6 and available for pre-order now. The album is currently being referred to as “The New Album.”
