The popular Phish Food flavor from Ben & Jerry’s is getting a partner in the Phish-inspired It’s Ice…Cream

It’s no secret that Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream has always been a favorite from the Vermont-based ice cream brand, even two decades after its unveiling. Now, Ben & Jerry’s have unleashed a new Phish-derived flavor of ice cream to compliment their longstanding Phish Food chocolate-meets-marshmallow variety.

Ben & Jerry’s new flavor is named It’s Ice…Cream, a take on the popular Phish song “It’s Ice.” The flavor is “caramel malt ice cream with almond toffee pieces, fudge fish and a caramel swirl,” according to Ben & Jerry’s, and was almost picked as a flavor back in 1997, when the company was first putting together what would become their Phish Food flavor.

A portion of the profits from sales of It’s Ice…Cream will go to the Waterwheel Foundation, Phish’s charity organization. That same holds true for their Phish Food flavor.

Real Phish enthusiasts can order a limited-edition It’s Ice…Cream poster, specially designed by Phish album artist Jim Pollock, via the official Ben & Jerry’s store site. The posters are limited to 2,000 prints, and Pollack autographed each poster. Needless to say, the posters are already almost sold out.

The most devoted Phish fans may want to get their hands on the special It’s Ice…Cream Gift Pack, which boasts a pint of It’s Ice…Cream, the posted signed by Pollock, a pint container if It’s Ice…Cream in a display case, a special patch, an enamel pin set, a Ben & Jerry’s spoon and even a USB drive with tracks Phish’s March 18, 1997 show to kick off Phish Food.
