Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath Releases New Song with Deadland Ritual
Deadland Ritual, featuring Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, has released a new song
Deadland Ritual, the new supergroup of sorts featuring Black Sabbath bass player Geezer Butler, has unleashed a new song. The heavy, sludgy track, called “Broken and Bruised,” is available now for digital download via all the major digital outlets.
In addition to releasing “Broken and Bruised” the song, Deadland Ritual has also unveiled the song’s accompanying performance video, which shows a collection of live footage of the band, via YouTube. Watch the video and listen to the new tune blow.
Deadland Ritual brings together Butler with former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, Apocalyptica vocalist Franky Perez and Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens.
“Broken and Bruised” is only the second bit of music Deadland Ritual has released. It follows the band’s debut Deadland single, “Down in Flames,” which arrived in December.
North American audiences will have to wait to see Deadland Ritual in concert, at least for now. The band does have a handful of European tour dates ahead this summer, and those concert will feature a blend of new songs, as well as familiar tunes coming from each band member’s lengthy career.
