Chester Bennington of Linkin Park’s widow, Talinda Bennington, got remarried in Hawaii over the weekend
Talinda Bennington, widow of late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, was remarried over the weekend. She married her boyfriend, Michael, Saturday (Jan. 4) in Hawaii.
Talinda shared the news via her official Twitter account. She also challenged reports by TMZ, which stated that the wedding ceremony happened on New Year’s Eve. TMZ had also stated that New Year’s Eve was the same day as her wedding anniversary with Chester.
“On January 4th, I wed a wonderful man, great friend, and son this weekend,” Talinda stated on Twitter. “We celebrated with all of our family and friends on the beautiful island of O’ahu. The day we chose was a day of meaning, in many different ways.”
“My anniversary (with) Chester, wasn’t my new wedding date,” she continued. “Jan 1st will always be the day I married Chester. I would never paint over that day with anything else.”
Talinda first told the world about her engagement to Michael last September, adding that the member of Linkin Park welcomed him with “open arms.”
Chester and Talinda got married in 2006. They had three children together. Chester also had three other children from prior relationships. Chester took his own life July 2017.
