It’s proving a busy year for Goo Goo Dolls, as the longstanding rock band has their first-ever holiday album on the way, plus just released a new music video.

The new clip is for the song “Autumn Leaves,” which appears on Goo Goo Dolls’ latest studio album, “Miracle Pill.” The video depicts an a young boy, old man and young woman as they observe time passing, including a pocket watch ticking away, a leaf falling and a bird dying. The purpose of the video was to depict “multiple generations of people traveling through natural landscapes and explores the dramatic, yet awe-inspiring effect time inevitably takes on all life,” according to a statement. Goo Goo Dolls’ holiday album, “It’s Christmas All Over,” will arrive on Oct. 30. The set will feature the group’s interpretation of holiday classics like “Let It Snow” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” plus offer a handful of new original songs. The album’s first single, “This Is Christmas,” will drop Oct. 2.

The upcoming holiday record was recorded during lockdown this year and produced by frontman John Rzeznik along with the group’s longtime collaborators Brad Fernquist and Jimmy McGorman.
