Pearl Jam have announced a special reissue package of the group’s famed “MTV Unplugged” live album. The set was originally available only as a Record Store Day exclusive in 2019, but now, will be released broadly on both vinyl and, for the first time ever, on CD, on Oct. 23. Pre-orders are available now through Pearl Jam’s web store.

Pearl Jam recorded their “MTV Unplugged” episode in March 1992. The performance featured a range of hits, performed acoustically, from the band’s groundbreaking 1991 debut album, “Ten,” including “Alive,” “Even Flow” and “Jeremy.”

In other news, Pearl Jam recently announced a new campaign to encourage voting in the 2020 U.S. presidential election this November. The campaign, called PJ Votes 2020, asks fans to do three things: “Vote by Mail,” “Recruit Three Friends” and “Don’t Wait.”

“It’s about reminding people that their voice matters and their voice can make a big difference,” bass player Jeff Ament told Rolling Stone.

He added, “Like a lot of things, if you find out that your good friends are doing something, you become more curious about it and more invested in it. What we found with voting is that when people you’re living with or your family or your best friends are voting, then you tend to vote as well.”

To help support PJ Votes 2020, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined Instagram last week to post information on hot to vote by mail.
