Members of Mastodon, Anthrax, Korn and More Cover Faith No More’s ‘We Care a Lot’ for Charity
Watch a slew of rock and metal musicians cover Faith No More’s “We Care a Lot” to benefit roadies and others hurting in the touring industry
A handful of musicians from the rock and metal world have joined forces to contribute to an all-encompassing cover of Faith No More’s “We Care a Lot.”
The recording — which features Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher, Korn’s Ray Luzier and Anthrax’s Frank Bello, among others — was released to benefit roadies and other members of the touring industry who have been unable to work because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Due to the pandemic, tours have been canceled and postponed all over the world, leaving those who depend on the touring industry in need of help.
Jason Rockman and Kevin Jardine from Slaves on Dope, who appear in the video, made the arrangements to bring everyone together, and the song is posted on their official YouTube channel. Listen to the cover via YouTube below.
“In collaboration with the Roadie Relief effort, this video hopes to raise awareness to all the out of work people in the touring industry,” states a message on the Slaves on Dope YouTube channel. To donate, go here.
Other musicians who appear on the cover include Richard Patrick of Filter, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC, Richard Patrick of Filter and members of Our Lady Peace, Refused and Men Without Hats. At the end of the video, Faith No More bass player Billy Gould even makes a fun guest appearance to show his support.
