Arnel Pineda, the current lead vocalist of Journey, has unleashed a new holiday song, “This Christmas – A Beacon of Hope”
Current Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda is getting into the holiday spirit with a new Christmas sing, “This Christmas – A Beacon of Hope,” with Imagen Records. The original song features a delicate piano arrangement and Pineda’s emotive vocals. Listen to the song, which is available now on all major streaming and download platforms, via YouTube below.
“The Year 2020 has brought many challenges for all of us: Taal Volcano eruption in January, Typhoon Vamco/Ulysses in November and the ongoing COVID crisis,” Pineda said in a statement. “Every single one of you has played the hero one way or another. Thank you for your commitment and dedication.”
He added, “Thank you for your collaboration, compassion and courage. Thank you for providing exceptional care and – most importantly – thank you for giving us hope during these uncertain times. The holiday season is the season of giving, and Arnel also heads up his own charity foundation, Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc. (APFI), a “non-stock, non-profit, and independent Philippine foundation that provides underprivileged children quality education, health services and medical attention,” according to a statement. The organization helps support educational efforts in developing countries such as the Philippines, his home country.
