Eminem Foundation Releasing Clothing Line on Black Friday to Benefit Charity
Eminem’s Marshall Mathers Foundation is offering special, limited edition merchandise to benefit the Downtown Boxing Gym in Detroit
The Marshall Mathers Foundation has released a limited edition line of clothing for charity today (Nov. 27) in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the rapper’s popular single “Stan” and “The Marshall Mathers LP.”
Funds raised from their x DBG #Stan #MMLP collab on Carhartt gear will raise funds to help the Downtown Boxing Gym knock out coronavirus-related learning loss. The Downtown Boxing Gym is a free academic and athletic program on the east side of Detroit that aids students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re facing a crisis like we’ve never seen and we’re doing everything we can to support our kids and help them make it through,” Khali Sweeney, DBG’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “To have Eminem and the Marshall Mathers Foundation step up during this time and help raise much-needed funds means the world to us. This is what we do in the D. We take care of each other. And we are truly grateful.”
Merchandise is available online at the Eminem Store today, with all funds raised going to the Downtown Boxing Gym’s tutoring, mentorship, enrichment programs, college and career prep, social-emotional skills building and basic needs support. For more details, visit the gym’s official website.
The Marshall Mathers Foundation is Eminem’s charitable organization serving disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit and surrounding area. The foundation’s mission also supports “fight against social injustice and for racial equality nationwide,” according to a statement.
