Pearl Jam’s “Ten” and Beastie Boys’ “Licensed to Ill” will be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021. Every year, the Recording Academy picked a handful of songs and albums that “exhibit qualitative or historical significance” to enter the Hall of Fame. Just like with artists, a recording must be at least 25 years old to qualify.

“Ten,” which came out in 1991, and “Licensed to Ill,” which arrived in 1986, are two of 29 albums and songs selected to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021. With the new editions, the Hall features a total of 1,142 recordings.

Other significant songs and albums being inducted into the Hall include Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Bruce Springsteen’s “Greetings from Asbury Parky, N.J.,” Billie Holiday’s “Solitude,” Patti Smith’s “Horses,” A Tribe Called Quest’s “The Low End Theory” and Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.”

“We are proud to announce this year’s diverse roster of Grammy Hall of Fame inductees and to recognize recordings that have shaped our industry and inspires music makers of tomorrow,” Harvey Mason Jr., chair and interim president/CEO of the Recording Academy, said in a statement. “Each recording has had a significant impact on our culture, and it is an honor to add them to our distinguished catalog.”
