Primus have announced a virtual concert stream streaming from frontman Les Claypool’s California winery in Pachyderm Station, California

Les Claypool and Primus have announced a virtual concert stream debuting Saturday, Dec. 11. The online show will be broadcast from Pachyderm Station, which is where Claypool’s California wine cellars are located. For more details, head to PrimusLive.com.

Primus were planning to kick off a tour this past summer in honor of progressive rock legends Rush, but the tour was postponed to 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. No word on whether some Rush covers might pop up during the upcoming online show.

Primus aren’t the only ones gearing up for an online performance. Incubus’ Brandon Boyd, HAIM, Jack Johnson, Feist and Dave Matthews have all signed on to perform at a new virtual festival honoring Yusuf, Cat Stevens.

The online show, called CatSong, will debut this Saturday (Dec. 5). The event will have various artists performing songs from Yusuf’s catalog, paying special tribute to his 1970 albums “Mona Bone Jakon” and “Tea for the Tillerman” to pay homage to their 50th anniversaries.

“It’s great to see and hear these covers of my songs given new life,” Yusuf/Stevens said of CatSong. “There’s no better honor for a songwriter than to have his songs performed by talented musicians with such love and sincerity. Thank you.”

Yusuf was planning to tour in 2020 in honor of the 50th anniversary, but those plans were postponed due to the pandemic. For details on CatSong, head to the Yusuf/Cat Stevens YouTube channel.
