Howard Jones’ Light the Torch Readying New Album, ‘You Will Be the Death of Me’
Light the Torch will release their sophomore studio album, “You Will Be the Death of Me,” in June
Light the Torch has announced a new album. The metal band, which is fronted by former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones, will be named “You Will Be the Death of Me” and arrive June 25.
In advance of the album, the band – which also features Francesco Artusato on guitar and Ryan Wombacher on bass – has released the set’s lead single, “Wilting in the Light,” which features heavy guitars and Jones’ strong vocals. The track is available now via digital outlets. Watch the music video below.
“You Will Be the Death of Me has been a journey — even without the pandemic,” Jones said in a statement. “This album has been emotional and rewarding in every way, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally release it. Maybe there was a bit of desperation writing and recording these songs.”
Artusato added, “This record is special to me in a different way. From writing the music during one of the toughest times of my life while dealing with a bad injury due to a car accident to being obsessively involved with every aspect of its production, recording, and creating the artwork. It’s hard to describe how I feel, and to finally see this record getting ready to be released.”
“You Will Be the Death of Me” will mark Light the Torch’s sophomore album and their follow-up to 2018’s “Revival.” Previously, the band released two albums under the band name, “Devil You Know.”
