Mark Tremonti Releases Lush ‘Marching in Time’ Title Track with Tremonti Band
Tremonti, the band featuring Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge, has released the grand-sounding title track of the band’s upcoming album, “Marching in Time”
Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge is getting ready to release a new album with his band Tremonti, and now, fans can hear the album’s full title track and watch its official music video. Previously, Tremonti released the debut single off the set, “If Not for You,” and now, they’ve unleashed the lush-sounding title track, which can be viewed below.
The music video for “Marching in Time” features some bright black-and-white performance footage spliced with images of black roses, black swirls and other generally dark imaging. Watch the clip, which clocks in at more than 7 minutes, below.
Thematically, “Marching in Time” is very personal, with Tremonti talking about the experience of being a new father during a global pandemic and getting ready to bring a new life into the world when things are so uncertain. The song, which is currently available for streaming and download, will appear on the new album, which arrives Sept. 24 via Napalm Records.
Musically, “Marching in Time” is an opus, going from a stripped-down, intimate opening with Tremonti singing alongside sparse guitar and rhythm backings before crashing into an anthemic, soaring chorus with strong vocals and thick guitars. With shifting dynamics and sonic colors, “Marching in Time” almost sounds like several songs combines.
Tremonti will return to the road beginning in September with Sevendust and Lydia Can’t Breathe in support of the album. After that tour, Tremonti will hop onto a tour Daughtry, Sevendust and Travis Bracht in November.
The group also just unveiled the lead single from “Marching in Time,” the hard-hitting “If Not for You.”
