Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce Tour with The Strokes, Beck, HAIM and A$AP Rocky
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have made good on their promise to hit the road in 2022, as the band has announced a worldwide 2022 tour
The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently announced they’d embark on a worldwide tour “soon,” and now, we have some dates. Anthony Kiedis and company have unveiled some of the tour dates, and that includes a major run through Europe and the North America in 2022.
The Peppers will return to the road starting in summer 2022, with Europe as their first stop. The band’s trek will set off June 4 in Seville, Spain, and keep the group traveling throughout Europe before wrapping up July 12 in Hamburg, Germany. The band will take a varying lineup of openers along, too, including The Strokes, Beck, St. Vincent, HAIM, A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat and King Princess.
Following the European run, the Peppers will return to North America for a tour that will run through the end of the summer. The group’s North American leg will begin July 23 in Denver, Colorado, and run through the tour’s closing date, Sept. 18 in Arlington, Texas. View the list of tour stops below.
In other news, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are in the midst of working on a new studio album. No release date has been set, but chances are the band’s upcoming tour will give them the chance to performing songs off the new record live for the first time. Both the new album and upcoming shows will mark the return of guitarist John Frusciante to the Peppers for the third time in the band’s career.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. local time Oct. 15. Pre-sale tickets for the North America run will start 10 a.m. local time on Oct. 9, while pre-sales for the European and U.K. stops will begin 10 a.m. local time on Oct. 13.
