Metal band Clutch will hit the road this spring for two North American tour legs

Clutch is the kind of metal band that lives for the road, so the past few years have been tough for the guys, being forced to stick at the sidelines. Now, Clutch is ready to get back out there and recently announced a spring 2022 North American tour, with support from The Sword and more.

The tour is divided into two legs. The first leg kicks off March 18 in Birmingham, Alabama, and wraps up April 10 date in Joliet, Illinois. Support on those shows will come from Tigercub and Eyehategod. Then, Clutch will embark on the second tour leg with support from The Sword and Nate Bergman on April 27 in Burlington, Vermont. That trek wraps up May 22 in Richmond, Virginia.

Tickets for the newly announced shows are on sale to the general public and are available via Ticketmaster. For more information on the trek, visit Clutch’s official website. View the full list of tour stops for Clutch’s 2022 North American tour below.

Previously, Jean-Paul Gaster of Clutch spoke with Audio Ink Radio about how important the live performance is for Clutch verses being an “image” band. “The image part of it doesn’t really enter into the equation,” he said. “I know that there’s a lot of musicians out there who say, if you don’t have an image, that is your image. I can tell you with certainty that I do not spend a whole lot of time deciding what I’m going to put on before a show or what my hair is going to look like. I’ve been on tour with bands that spend more time figuring out what outfit they’re going to put on than actually sitting down and practicing your instrument. If that’s your bag, great, but we don’t really subscribe to that.”
