Starting in February, Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional will hit the road on a cross-country U.S. tour

Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional came up in the sale era of emo-tinged alternative rock, and now the two are joining forces for a North American co-headlining tour. Make sure to wear your extra heavy eyeliner.

The bands just announced a handful of tour dates that will take both acts through the southwest, Midwest and southeastern U.S. region, kicking off Feb. 27 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at Kiva Auditorium, and running through a March 22 date in Houston, Texas. For Jimmy Eat World, the run will start the day before, on Feb. 26, with an appearance at Tempe, Arizona, at Innings Festival.

The tour, called the “Surviving the Truth Tour,” takes its moniker each band’s latest albums. Jimmy Eat World will be on the road to promote “Surviving,” which was released in October 2019. The set produced the alternative rock singles “555,” “All the Way (Stay)” and “Criminal Energy.”

Dashboard Confessional will be on tour behind their upcoming record, “All The Truth That I Can Tell,” which will hit stores on Feb. 25. The first single off the set, “Here’s to Moving On,” arrived last year.

Sydney Sprague will serve as direct support on the run. Pre-sales begin Wednesday (Jan. 12) at 10 a.m. local time, and general on-sale starts on Friday (Jan. 14) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
