Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer to Headline BeachLife Festival
Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins are among the headliners for the 2022 BeachLife Festival
It’s cold outside throughout much of the U.S., but it’s never too soon to start thinking about summer concert season. How about a summer music festival that takes place on the beach? That sounds like a paradise for many rockers.
A rock festival on the beach is the concept behind the BeachLife Festival. The event just released the initial lineup for their 2022 edition, and it packs a bunch, with a range of alternative acts, as well as a classic rock favorite.
Headliners set to appear at 2022 BeachLife Festival include Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins and the Steve Miller Band. The event, which is celebrating its third year, is set to take place on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, California, for three days and nights, from May 13 to 15. In addition to rock music, the festival boasts reggae and jam acts, which makes sense for a summer-themed festival.
BeachLife will start on May 13 with Weezer headlining Friday’s show. Other acts set to appear that night include 311, Cold War Kids, Black Pumas, Atlas Genius, Milky Chance, Cannons, Jim Lindberg, Long Beach Dub Allstars, the Aggrolites and more.
On Saturday (May 14), Smashing Pumpkins will headline the bill. Other Saturday artists include Stone Temple Pilots, Capital Cities, Vance Joy, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu, Sugar Ray, The Record Company, Donavan Frankenreiter, Magic!, Phantom Planet, Art Alexakis and more.
Finally, on Sunday (May 15), the Steve Miller Band will close out the festival, taking the headlining spot. Sheryl Crow will also appear on Sunday, as well as Lord Huron, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, the Allman Betts Band, Ozomatli, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and more.
All in all, the lineup does feature a good amount of reggae and quirky music, in addition to the big names, making it an adventurous choice for music fans. View the full lineup and find more information via the BeachLife Festival website here. Tickets for the 2022 event are on sale now.
