Halestorm Say New Album Is a ‘Journey’
Halestorm will release their fifth studio album, “Back from the Dead,” in May
Halestorm released a new single in late 2021, the pummeling “Back From the Dead,” and now, the band has announced that their new album will take on that same moniker and arrive this May. In addition to the album news, Halestorm have released a new single, “The Steeple,” which can be streamed below.
“Back From the Dead” marks Lzzy Hale and Halestorm’s fifth studio album and their follow-up to 2018’s “Vicious.” The album scored them their second Grammy nomination with the single “Uncomfortable,” which was up for Best Hard Rock Performance.
“We started writing this album about three months B.C. (before COVID),” frontwoman Lzzy Hale said of the upcoming record in a statement. “Once we went into lockdown and were unable to perform and tour, I fell into a dark place and something of an identity crisis. This album is the story of me carving myself out of that abyss. It is a journey of navigating mental health, debauchery, survival, redemption, rediscovery and still maintaining faith in humanity.”
“Back from the Dead” will arrive May 6 via Atlantic Records. To pre-order/save the new Halestorm song, go here.
In other news, Halestorm just wrapped up a co-headlining tour with Evanescence, which took the band through arenas in major markets across North America. The group was scheduled to embark on a European tour later this month but were forced to cancel the run due to restrictions. Next up, Halestorm will perform at the 2022 Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona, Florida.
