Avril Lavigne Confirms She’s Engaged to Mod Sun

Mod Sun has officially proposed to Avril Lavigne, and she said “yes”

Avril Lavigne is no longer on the market, as they say. The pop-punk star has confirmed via social media that she’s officially engaged to fellow music-maker Mod Sun, whom she’s been dating for a little over a year.

Lavigne and Mod Sun have been working together on music the past year, making it a true statement that those who rock together stay together. Mod Sun just debuted his new single, “Rich Kids Ruin Everything.” His most recent full-length album is 2021’s “Internet Killed the Rockstar.” Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne released her latest full-length record, “Love Sux,” earlier this year. Much of the record was co-written by Mod Sun.

Mod Sun popped the big question near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, one of the most romantic spots in the world. He even wrote a little poem for the occasion, which he tweeted out, stating, “I had a dream where I proposed in Paris / I pulled out a ring and asked you to wear it / I grabbed your hand and took one last breath / I said “will you marry me?” and she said “yes,” he wrote and added, “I love you forever Avril.”

This will mark Avril Lavigne’s third marriage. She was married to Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley from 2006 through 2010 and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger from 2013 through 2015.

In other news, Avril Lavigne will be on tour this summer. She’s slated to open for Machine Gun Kelly on most of his summer tour through the United States and Canada.
