Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge says the band already has a title and release date for their upcoming album

Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge and Creed is not taking any downtime in 2022. Not only is he working on the new Alter Bridge record, but Tremonti is also releasing an album of Frank Sinatra covers, called “Tremonti Sings Sinatra,” for charity.

As for the new Alter Bridge music, Tremonti recently revealed to Elwood of Springfield radio station 97.7 WQLZ that Alter Bridge has selected the title and release date for their upcoming full-length. According to Tremonti, the new album will be called “Pawns & Kings” and arrive on Oct. 14 via Napalm Records.

“The Alter Bridge record will be getting mixed (while I’m touring with Tremonti in Europe),” he says in the interview.

Tremonti also has a live show coming up in support of the new Sinatra album. The event, which is already sold out, is a special charity benefit in Florida with musicians from Frank Sinatra’s actual band. As it turns out, Tremonti says he hopes to schedule more shows with members of Sinatra’s band in support of the album, “Tremonti Sings Sinatra,” which drops on May 27.

Tremonti added that, like many musicians, he’s feeling a return to normal following the global pandemic. “COVID was the biggest break I’ve ever had in my professional career. I saw it coming, though,” he said. “Everyone’s been sitting for two years and now that the floodgates are open we can get back out there. Everybody’s out there and everybody’s doing it, so it’s going to be a busy couple years.”

Check back later this month for an exclusive interview with Mark Tremonti, as he speaks to Audio Ink Radio about the Sinatra album and more Alter Bridge plans. In the meantime, find Tremonti’s tour dates and more information on his official website.
