The guys of Saliva are back with a new song, “Crows,” which is about a relationship gone bad

Nu-metal is back and stronger than ever, as evidenced by all of the nu-metal bands that have been releasing new music as of late. Korn was a big one with their latest album, “Requiem.” Mudvayne hasn’t’ released any new music, but they’re back together and headlining festival shows. Limp Bizkit is back with a new album, “Still Sucks,” and they’re headlining festivals, to boot. Now, the guys of Saliva have released a new single, which carries on that nu-metal flavor into 2022.

“Crows,” which dropped Friday (June 3) is the latest offering from Saliva. It’s a relationship song, with singer Bobby Amaru stating, “Crows is about a broken relationship with someone that is unable to accept what and who they really are. Someone you try and fix but cannot. When I say ‘I’m not bowing to the crows inside your head!'”

He adds, “That means I’m done giving into the same s*** that’s been eating this relationship alive. I think many people can relate who have been in this situation before. They continue to let the other person drag them down until enough is enough!”

Saliva, according to a release, will keep releasing new music and eventually a full album later in 2022. The new music offers a “contemporary feel but sticks to the blue collar roots that their fans love,” according to a statement.

Amaru joined Saliva in 2011, following the departure of longtime vocalist Josey Scott. The band’s current lineup includes Amaru; former Shinedown and Fuel bass player Brad Stewart; and Wayne Swinny.
