Ozzy Osbourne explains the real reason he’s moving from the U.S. back to his estate in Buckinghamshire, UK

Ozzy Osbourne is opening up about the real reason he’s picking up and moving from Los Angeles to his estate in Buckinghamshire, UK. Previously, it was thought the move was due to Ozzy’s health and California’s taxes. Those were mostly guesses, but it seemed probable. That said, now it appears the reason is entirely different.

Speaking with The Observer, Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon said the move is actually not because of Ozzy’s health, but instead due to the mass shootings and political division in America today. Ozzy also mentioned not wanting to be buried with other celebrities in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

“I knew people would think that [it was about Ozzy’s health],” Sharon said in the interview. “It’s not. It’s just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.”

Ozzy added, “Everything’s f***ing ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f***ing crazy. And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f***ing Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

In other news, Ozzy’s new album, “Patient No. 9,” is slated to hit stores on Sept. 9. It will be the first album to feature guitarist Zakk Wylde back in the fold since 2007’s “Black Rain.” He also has a handful of overseas tour dates in the books.
