Download Festival 2023 will return to the U.K. in June 2023

The U.K.’s famed Download Festival has dropped its 2023 bill, and it features headlining performances from some of rock and metal’s biggest players: Metallica, Slipknot and Bring Me the Horizon. The four-day festival will take place June 8 through 11 at Donington Park.

Metallica’s performance will be extra special, as the legendary metal band will perform two completely different sets on Thursday, June 8, and Saturday, June 10, respectively. Bring Me the Horizon are slated to headline Friday, June 9, and Slipknot will close out the weekend on Sunday, June 11. For information on tickets, go here.

Other acts slated to rock the annual event are Disturbed, Ghost, GWAR, Evanescence, Behemoth, Placebo, Alexisonfire, Municipal Waste, Soul Glo, Three Days Grace, I Prevail, Simple Plan, Within Temptation, Dead Sara, Ingested, Set It Off, The Blackout, Touche Amore and more.

“We are next-level honored to once again come back and partake in the Download shenanigans on the hallowed grounds of Castle Donington, which has an unparalleled place in rock history,” Metallica said in a collective statement. “On top of that, to be able to share our double show format with two completely unique sets with no repeat songs for the first time ever in the UK is way f***in’ cool. Bring it on!”

Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, who hails from the UK, added, “Download Festival! So many great memories, one of the most amazing crowds to play in front of, always an honor to share the bill with so many amazing bands, and of course, I’ll never miss the opportunity to play my homeland.”
