The reunited Pantera have announced their first batch of headlining tour dates

There’s been lots of buzz surrounding the so-called “reunion” of Pantera, bringing together classic members Philip Anselmo on vocals and Rex Brown on bass, along with guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. Up until now, the band had only announced appearances at festivals, but this week, they announced their first actual tour.

Pantera have announced 13 European concerts for 2023, including both traditional tour dates and festival appearances. The famed metal act has added nine dates to their 2023 European tour, which begins May 26 in Sofia, Bulgaria, and runs through a stint at the Tons of Rock fest in Oslo, Norway, which runs from June 22 to 24.

Some of the big gigs on the run include a headlining set at Metalhead Meeting Open Air Festival in Bucharest, Romania, on May 27 and a set at the Copenhell festival on June 15 in Copenhagen. The group is also slated to play the twin Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals in Germany.

The group’s first date is in early December at Mexico’s Hell & Heaven Metal Fest, followed by a gig at the Monterrey Metal Fest. Pantera are also booked for three Knotfest dates in Latin America, as well as headlining shows in Santiago, Chile, and São Paulo, Brazil. Wylde and Benante are stepping in for late brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, respectively.
