Slash and Demi Lovato: Listen to the guitarist play on Lovato’s new version of “Sorry Not Sorry”

The worlds of pop and rock often collide, and that’s not a bad thing. Throughout music history, plenty of great music has been made when heavy music comes together with pop sensibility. Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash recently appeared on a new, rock-heavy version of the Demi Lovato single, “Sorry Not Sorry.” Listen to the Slash and Demi Lovato song here and via the YouTube player below.

Lovato has released the new version of the song, titled “Sorry Not Sorry (Rock Version),” along with an announcement about her new album. Moreover, the pop star’s next record, “Revamped,” will arrive on Sept. 15 and bring rock versions of her chart-topping songs. Furthermore, watch the record’s official trailer below.

“Sorry Not Sorry (Rock Version)” brings together Slash’s fiery guitar player and soloing with Lovato’s newly recorded, amped up vocals. Additionally, the song features production from Warren “Oak” Felder, Keith “Ten4” Sorrells, and Alex Nice. What’s more, “Sorry Not Sorry” was first released on Lovato’s sixth studio album, “Tell Me You Love Me.”

“Slash is an iconic artist who I’ve been a fan of for years, it’s an absolute honor to have such a legend like him on the rock version of ‘Sorry not Sorry,'” Lovato said in a statement regarding the collaboration. “With ‘Revamped,’ I wanted to pay homage to the songs that resonated the most with fans and played a big role in my career by breathing an exciting new life into them. Creating this project has been incredibly fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way, and I feel so much closer to my older music because of it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear more!”

The 10-track “Revamped” will feature all newly recorded vocals and production, according to a release. On it, Lovato reimagines a handful of her best songs with rock delivery. The album is available for pre-order and pre-save.

Lovato previously performed rock versions of some of her hits on her 2022 tour, which featured an all-female band, including Nita Strauss of Alice Cooper’s band. Moreover, Strauss is currently back with Alice Cooper and recently got engaged.
