Nita Strauss’ longtime boyfriend, Josh V., proposed to her during her record release party in a very romantic way

Guitarist Nita Strauss is officially off the market, as they say. The Alice Cooper guitarist got engaged to her drummer Josh Villalta, known professionally as Josh V., during Strauss’ record release party on Thursday night (July 6) in Los Angeles. Her new solo album, “The Call of The Void,” dropped at midnight Friday (July 7). The Nita Strauss engaged news quickly spread online, to boot.

Josh was a true gentlemen and got on his knees to ask Strauss to become his wife. Mike Jakubow of Sumerian Records posted some video clips and photos of the exchange on social media. He commented, “Nita Strauss Record Release Party …. more than that … it turned into an engagement party! Congrats @hurricanenita and @thejoshv on everything. Such an honor to share in your amazing moments. Truly.” Jakubow also hashtagged the post with some appropriate words, including #nitastrauss #thecallofthevoid #recordreleaseparty #engagementparty #sumerianrecords #thewhiskyagogo @thewhiskyagogo @sumerianrecords. The Alice Cooper guitarist has publicly talked about her love for Josh over the years. Speaking with Audio Ink Radio in 2019, she said, “Josh has been my boyfriend, my manager, my drummer– he does just about everything in the Nita Strauss world expect for the actual guitar playing! It’s amazing, because nobody will have my best interest at heart more than somebody that actually really cares about me.”

She added, “There are a lot of managers that do a great job for their clients, but at the end of the day, they don’t share their future hopes and dreams, so the person managing my career has those things at heart, not just what’s going to make me money right now. It’s a great relationship. It’s not perfect. We have our disagreements, but overall, I knew he has the best and clearest vision of what will work best for me in the long run, and as long as you have shared goals and dreams and aspirations, I think it’s a great thing to work with your significant other.”
