The Used to Embark Fall Tour with Sleeping with Sirens and More
The Used fall tour dates are here with Sleeping with Sirens and Dead American
It’s hard to believe, but The Used’s breakout hit, 2001’s “The Taste of Ink,” is more than two decades old at this point. The band was one of the defining ones of the early-2000s emo and screamo movement, and they’re still a force today. Now, The Used fall tour dates have been announced with special guests Sleeping with Sirens and Dead American.
The tour will kick off Sept. 5 in Birmingham, Alabama, and close out with an Oct. 11 date in Paso Robles, California. General ticket sales began on Friday (June 30), and so far, all of the dates have availability. For more information on tickets, visit The Used’s official website.
The Used are keeping busy this year, as the guys are currently on a co-headlining spring and summer North American tour with Pierce the Veil. That trek has some remaining shows and will wrap up July 2 in Phoenix, Arizona. Who says emo and screamo are dead?
The Used – which features longtime vocalist Bert McCracken along with bass player Jepha, drummer Dan Whitesides and guitarist Joey Bradford – are touring behind their new album, “Toxic Positivity,” which dropped this spring. Sleeping with Sirens are out in support of their latest studio set, “Complete Collapse,” which arrived last year.
“‘Toxic Positivity’ speaks of the strength of the band’s collective collaboration and also their innate, unquenchable thirst to create. I think we have no choice but to write and write and write,” McCracken said of the new album in a statement. “It has always just been in us, and we’ve had to get it out. I read a quote once that said you either work your entire lifetime on four great pieces, or you write thousands of pieces and become great that way. Everything that we feel, I think it always makes for a good song.”
The Used’s tour is one of many major fall U.S. tours on the horizon. Check out tour dates for Sevendust and Static-X’s fall run here.
