A dog recently enjoyed a Metallica concert in Los Angeles, but the band warns not to make it a habit

It seemed like a cute story, at first. A pet dog reportedly left home to make it to a Metallica concert last Thursday (Aug. 31). The show was one of the band’s Los Angeles gigs at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Metallica shared the news on social media, along with a photo of the pet. But, even though the incident was cute, the guys of Metallica are warning fans not to bring pets to their shows.

“You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself,” Metallica explained in the post. They added that, “After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna,’ ‘Master of Puppies,’ and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes,'” they joked. Very cute, guys.

It was neat to see this pet loving the Metallica show. But, the guys don’t want this to be the norm. They also shared on social media, “And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day…”

So, as Metallica continue on their massive “M72 World Tour,” they’re warning about bringing pets to Metallica concerts. Just don’t do it.

Metallica are touring in support of their latest album, “72 Seasons,” which arrived in April of this year. Their worldwide tour kicked off in April and is currently scheduled through September of next year. The tour features Metallica playing two nights in every city they reach, with each concert featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups. The opening acts include Pantera, Mammoth WVH, Greta Van Fleet, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat and Ice Nine Kills.
