Foo Fighters tour: The band has announced a slew of new 2024 tour dates
Foo Fighters are going strong, as the legendary grunge rock band has announced a slate of U.S. stadium shows set for 2024. The upcoming Foo Fighters tour features some big gigs, including concerts at Fenway Park in Boston; Target Field in Minneapolis; Citi Field in Queens, NY; Petco Park in San Diego; BMO Stadium in Los Angeles; and T-Mobile Park in Seattle. What’s extra special, though, is seeing which bands Foo Fighters picked to open for their run.
As for those openers, The Pretenders and The Hives will take turns serving as primary support. Meanwhile, Alex G, L7, Mammoth WVH and Amyl and The Sniffers also provide support on select dates during the tour. An artist pre-sale is happening now using code TEACHER. Then, a Live Nation pre-sale begins on Thursday (Oct. 5) using the code VOCALS. Finally, a public on-sale starts on Friday (Oct. 6) via Ticketmaster.
Foo Fighters are on the road in support of their most recent studio album, “But Here We Are.” These dates are in addition to many previously announced concerts, including a major tour of Australia and New Zealand set for December. Dave Grohl and company will also appear at Austin City Limits later this month and perform in the U.K. in January 2024. View the band’s full roster below.
It’s hard to argue that Grohl is one of the hardest-working guys in rock music. Not only does he regularly churn out new music with Foo Fighters, but as evidenced by the long list of shows on the way, he keeps the band on the road constantly. This tour, of course, is without the band’s late drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Instead, longstanding drummer Josh Freese is taking his place.
