Anyone who follows Tool knows the progressive metal band doesn’t always play a ton of shows. But, that’s changed the past few years, as the legendary band has embarked on several tours since the lockdown lifted in 2021. Now, Tool has announced new 2024 U.S. tour dates. The roster of shows also includes the band’s first headlining shows at Madison Square Garden since 2001.

Tool will kick off their early 2024 tour in mid-January, and the run will take them through a bevy of major markets through the middle of February. The first date of the tour is Oct. 11 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Delta Center. From there, the band will hit Baltimore, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up Feb. 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at T-Mobile Arena. As for support, psychedelic doom rockers Elder will open for the full tour.

Tickets for Tool’s new 2024 tour dates go on sale Friday (Oct. 13) via Ticketmaster. Pre-sales are running now through Friday, including a deal for the Tool Army fan club. For addition ticket information, visit the official Tool website.

Tool are currently on the fall leg of their 2023 North American tour. They recently performed at the first-ever Power Trip music festival in Indio, California. They co-headlined the final evening of the festival with Metallica. Tool also recently performed at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California.

Tool are still touring on their 2019 studio album, “Fear Inoculum.” The record was named one of Audio Ink Radio’s best rock and metal albums of the 2010s, coming in at No. 2 on the list.
