Dolly Parton Rocks Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Uniform at Halftime Show
Dolly Parton: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders uniform at Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game
Dolly Parton is truly America’s sweetheart. The longtime county singer and songwriter was the performer at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23), and she blew everyone out of the water. Not only did Dolly sound incredible, as she always does, but she wore a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders uniform during the halftime show, and she rocked it.
Dolly took the stage at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, wearing the famed blue and white Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders uniform. She’s 77 and totally looked spectacular in the skimpy uniform, featuring white mini shorts and a blue starred crop top. I’ve actually been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for Halloween a few times, and it’s always a winner, but I have to give the crown to Parton. She really wore that costume beautifully.
For the show, Parton opened with her 1973 hit “Jolene,” followed by a rousing rendition of her 1980 hit “9 to 5.” She also performed a tribute to Queen, singing the famed “We are the Champions/We Will Rock You.” Fans took to social media to praise Parton for her incredible performance. According to the Dallas Morning News on X, Parton’s booking for the halftime show was so popular that the first batch of Dolly Parton-themed Thanksgiving shirts sell out within an hour.
Parton is an 11-time Grammy Award winner. She’s actually hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart a whopping 25 times, which is more than any other female artist. In addition to music, she heads up Dollywood, which is located in her home state of Tennessee, a popular Parton-inspired theme park with attractions such as Dolly’s Tennessee Mountain Home, a waterpark called Dollywood’s Splash and, opening soon, the Dolly Parton Experience.
Parton was the biggest name that the NFL snagged to perform at their Thanksgiving Day games this year. Earlier in the day, rapper Jack Harlow performed a short stint for the Green Bay Packers’ upset win against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. For the final game of the day, DJ Steve Aoki will perform during halftime show for the Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers game.
The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are the only teams in the NFL that always play on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys’ game against rivals the Commanders is a popular one, as it’s been played 10 times in the history of the teams.
I also got a bit excited about Parton and tweeted out, “Dolly Parton is rocking that Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit, good for her!” It’s great to see her staying power.
