Tool Announce More 2012 Tour Dates

Prog-rock band Tool have confirmed additional 2012 shows

Maynard James Keenan and the men of Tool keep rolling out new tour dates, and even with the added shows, it seems they still can’t meet demand. Most of the band’s on-sale dates sold out in moments. If you missed out, rest assured that more Tool live action is on the way.

Tool’s latest addition of shows, according to Under the Gun and Loudwire, include stops in Charlotte, N.C., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Orlando, Fla., among others. No word yet on if any double-city dates will be announced, since the shows sold out so quickly, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea, right?

Tool fans have been on an emotional rollercoaster the past few weeks, as Ticketmaster posted two mysterious 2012 Tool shows earlier this month, only to take the dates down in hours. When the tour dates reappeared with new ones, to boot, Audio Ink Radio got in touch with Tool’s management and confirmed that a 2012 tour, indeed, was on! So, Tool fans, breathe a big sigh of relief. Currently, the prog-rock band’s trek begins in Reno on Jan. 14 and closes out Feb. 8 in Orlando, Fla. But, more dates are being announced weekly, so that span might grow quickly.

In-between Tool shows, Keenan will tour in 2012 in support of his electro-industrial, comedy-rock project, Puscifer. Puscifer’s tour starts Feb. 23 in Austin, Texas, and closes out March 18 in Escondido, Calif. Find the full list of tour dates, here.
