Former Killswitch Engage Singer Jesse Leach Confronts Reunion Rumors
Ex-Killswitch Engage singer: ‘I go where the spirit leads me’
With the news of Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones leaving the band, it took no time at all for fans to start wondering if this was a sign former vocalist Jesse Leach would return to the fold. Now, Leach has turned to his Facebook page to squelch any rumors that he’s back with the Massachusetts metal giants.
“I go where the spirit leads me,” Leach posted on his page this past weekend. He followed up with that, stating, “No matter insignificant it may seem in the moment, the smallest change can spark a revolution!” The posts sparked plenty of speculation regarding Leach’s possible return to Killswitch.
Yesterday (Dec. 9), Leach confronted those trying to splice together his statements to somehow confirm a reunion. “Stop trying to read Inbetween the lines of my posts. If I have something to say, I WILL say it. For the moment I have no comments on KSE,” he stated. Leach currently fronts Times of Grace — a melodic metal band with a hardcore touch who has toured with Christian metallers Underoath — with current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, as well as the Empire Shall Fall, so his plate is currently pretty full. Still, Leach hasn’t said no. As the adage goes, never say never.
Adding to speculation that Leach will not return to the group, however, is a move by Killswitch Engage, asking anyone interested in becoming the new Killswitch vocalist to send in their demos in MP3 form, or a song link, to the band’s management. Read the band’s official statement, here. Do you hope Leach rejoins Killswitch Engage?
