Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder Announces 2012 Solo Tour

Eddie Vedder plans 13-date solo tour of North America

While Pearl Jam gear up to release a new album in 2012, frontman Eddie Vedder has announced a string of solo shows in April and May in support of his current solo release, “Ukulele Songs.” The. The 13-date tour has Vedder performing across the southern part of the U.S., including stops in Texas, Florida, New Mexico and beyond. View a complete list of tour stops, below.

April 11 marks the tour’s first date, at the Pearl in Las Vegas, and the run closes out May 16 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando, Fla. As with Vedder’s last solo run, Oscar-winning singer / songwriter Glen Hansard will serve as the opening act.

Concert tickets for the show go on sale to the general public beginning Feb. 3, and a special pre-sale for members of Pearl Jam’s fan club, Ten Club, stars today via Pearl Jam’s official website. Tickets for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival are already on sale to the general public.

Pearl Jam played a select few concerts in 2011, still, Vedder and his band hit No. 68 on Pollstar’s list of the Top Grossing North American Tours of 2011. Fellow ’90s grunge bands Soundgarden and Foo Fighters also made the list, which may be viewed via this link. In other Pearl Jam news, band members have hinted at a new album arriving in 2012.
