Daughtry Announce Second Leg of U.S. Tour, ‘American Idol’ Appearance
Daughtry’s ‘Break the Spell’ tour announces May, June dates
Rock guy Chris Daughtry and his band Daughtry announced the first leg of their North American “Break the Spell Tour” last month, and now, the group have announced the second leg of that tour. The tour’s first leg runs from March 20 in Buffalo, N.Y. to May 1 in New York City, and the second tour leg picks up May 10 in Indianapolis, Ind., and continues through June 13 in Austin, Texas.
As with the first leg of the jaunt, Daughtry have tapped Nashville-based alternative pop-rock group SafetySuit to open on the dates, as well as singer-songwriter Mike Sanchez. For all the dates along the way, Daughtry are helping a charity close to their hearts, as $1 from every ticket sold will go towards Malaria No More, a leading humanitarian organization determined to end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015.
Daughtry has also announced he and his band will return to their old stomping grounds, “American Idol,” to perform their latest single, “Outta My Head,” on the the March 15 episode. The track is the third single from the outfit’s third studio album, “Break the Spell,” and the follow-up to the album’s first two singles “Crawling Back To You” and “Renegade.”
“Just a few more weeks in rehearsal and then we finally get to deliver Break The Spell live to our fans,” singer Chris Daughtry said, regarding the upcoming trek. Find a complete list of the new tour dates, below, and to check out the first leg of the tour, go here.
