Lamb of God Singer Randy Blythe Arrested on Manslaughter Charges
Lamb of God forced to cancel Czech gig following singer Randy Blythe’s arrest
Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe was reportedly arrested yesterday (June 28) in the Czech Republic on alleged manslaughter charges from an incident that occurred at a 2019 concert.
According to Czech news website Novinky, the metal singer got into a fight with a fan during Lamb of God’s concert at the Prague club Abaton in May 2010, and later, the fan died due to injuries sustained during that fight. According to Lamb of God’s management, the singer did not get into a fight: “This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head,” reads the official statement.
The group was back in the Czech Republic this week to play a show that was set for last night, but police brought the musician in for questioning right when he arrived in the city for the show. Lamb of God were forced to cancel last night’s show at the Rock Café, which also featured metal bands All Shall Perish, and Skeletonwitch. We’ll be following the story for more details as news breaks.
Lamb of God have been out on the road in promotion of their latest album, “Resolution,” and have been taping a documentary featuring footage from their massive, worldwide trek. The band are currently scheduled to tour with Dethklok and Gojira this summer.
