Nirvana Reunion Not Happening, Says Dave Grohl’s Rep

Rumors of an impending Nirvana reunion are false, according to drummer Dave Grohl’s camp
Following last week’s Nirvana reunion performance featuring Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, bass player Krist Novoselic, touring guitarist Pat Smear and Paul McCartney performing at the “12-12-12” Hurricane Sandy benefit show, plus a stint on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, many fans have been speculating that a full-fledged Nirvana reunion was in the works. The reunion, of course, would feature the surviving members of Nirvana with a new singer in place of the late Kurt Cobain.
Now, however, Grohl’s rep has put to rest any rumors of an impending Nirvana reunion, with the New York Post reporting that “reps for Grohl dashed rumors of a reunion tour, telling us they are ‘nonsense.’”
The news should appease Cobain’s widow Courtney Love, who has publicly stated that she’s “not amused” by the recent performance between McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana. However, Love had slightly nicer things to say about late Beatle John Lennon, stating, “”Look, if John were alive it would be cool.”
