Thom Yorke and Flea’s Atoms for Peace Announce First Summer Festival Shows

Atoms for Peace are set to play a handful of summer festival shows overseas

Atoms for Peace — the experimental side project that brings together Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, percussionist Mauro Refosco and drummer Joey Waronker — have just announced a handful of summer festival gigs to help promote their upcoming full-length album, “Amok,” which arrives in stores and online outlets on Tuesday (Feb. 26).

So far, the gigs are all overseas. Specifically, the guys will be headlining three festival shows across the river: EXIT festival in Serbia, which takes places from July 10 to 14; Bazant Pohoda festival is Slovakia, which runs July 11 through 13; and Melt! festival in Germany, which happens from July 19 to 21.

Although “Amok” isn’t out quite yet, those who order the album now on iTunes will receive an immediate download of a song from the album, “Judge Jury and Executioner.” Fans of vinyl will be able to pick up “Judge Jury and Executioner” on 12-inch vinyl, plus a special non-album B-side called “S.A.D,” on March 19. On top of that, the group is hosting a special stream of the entire “Amok” album via their official website.
