Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland says band’s new album should arrive this fall

Fred Durst-fronted Limp Bizkit are back with a new single, “Ready to Go,” and a full-fledged summer tour. Now, the band is putting the finishing touches on “Stampede of the Disco Elephants,” Limp Bizkit’s latest studio album, and guitarist Wes Borland says that if things go as planned,  the album will arrive in September.

“We’re really trying to get it hammered out here,” he told Billboard. “We’re done with most of the music, pretty much all the music. The lyrics and vocals are probably 30 percent done, and [Fred Durst] is working as we speak, on tour.”

As for the sound of the release, Borland says that the songs on “Stampede of the Disco Elephants” have a “very live and sort of wild” feel. Moreover, fans shouldn’t expect the same old Limp Bizkit on the album; instead, expect lots of creativity. “I think it’s a little bit more, sort of playful, taking chances, a little less pop, structured type of stuff,” he said. “I don’t want to say it [sounds] younger, but maybe a little more carefree, musically, to where we don’t over-think what we’re doing.”
