Hole singer Courtney Love almost launched her own reality TV series earlier this year

Hole singer Courtney Love came pretty close to landing her own reality TV show. According to Love, the show was going to revolve around her everyday life, but she ended up turning it down when she realized she probably couldn’t get the network to agree with keeping it unedited and true to life.

“I was only going to do it because I’m so sick of being impeded by people [questioning] my mental stability because I flipped out on Twitter or that I’m still on drugs,” Love told The Huffington Post. “I’m not going to lower myself, [but] I did think about it.”

She was especially worried the producers would edit the show to make her look crazy and take her out of context. “It’d have been a real war fighting with the network to not edit me,” she said.

In other Love news, the singer told the publication that she’s hard at work on a follow-up to her 2004 debut solo release, “America’s Sweetheart.” She says to expect the release to arrive by Christmas. Also look for an autobiography from Love to drop around Christmas via Harper Collins.
