Soundgarden to Perform Full ‘Superunknown’ Album in New York City

Soundgarden’s groundbreaking ‘Superunknown’ album turns 20 this year
Soundgarden are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their “Superunknown” album this year by re-releasing the seminal collection in a variety of formats this June. The party doesn’t stop there, though, as Soundgarden have announced they’ll perform June 2 at the intimate Webster Hall venue in New York City and play the “Superunknown” from beginning to end.
Fans interested in scooping up some tickets for the show must CitiCard members. Likewise, a Citi card must be used when buying tickets. Tickets for the special show will go sale starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 21 and run $19.94 each, in honor the year of “Superunknown’s” release.
As for the re-releases, Soundgarden will unleash two deluxe editions of Superunknown, as well as also a vinyl version. The two deluxe editions, out June 3, will feature never-before-released rehearsal recordings, demos and b-sides.
“Superunknown” was a multiplatinum album for Soundgarden and spawned the Grammy Award-winning rock singles “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman.”
In other Soundgarden news, the band will embark on a co-headlining summer U.S. tour with Nine Inch Nails starting July 19 in Las Vegas.
