Production on Kurt Cobain Biopic to Begin in ‘Next 12 Months,’ Says Courtney Love
Courtney Love expects production on Kurt Cobain’s piopic to begin sometime in the next year
Courtney Love is involved in a new biopic about her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, and interested parties shouldn’t have to wait too long to view the flick. Love has told Inquirer Entertainment that she expects production on the much-anticipated biopic will begin sometime in the “next 12 months.”
Love says she’s being flooded with demo reels from actors who want to play Cobain in the flick, but she’s not rushing to any castings. In fact, she doesn’t want the decision of who will play Cobain to be left up to her.
“I won’t name names, because I don’t want to jinx it for anyone, but these are 25-year-olds who are blonde, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts,” she said of the actors sending in their stuff. “Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces. I don’t want to be the person who makes that decision.”
Love says the entire Nirvana clan will be involved in the film. Love, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain and Kurt’s former Nirvana will reportedly have a hand in the movie in some way. “I do have a say in it,” Love said. “So do Frances and Krist (Novoselic) and Dave (Grohl), for that matter, if it touches on Nirvana — and it will.”
