Foo Fighters Unleash New Song, ‘The Line’

Foo Fighters are inching closer and closer to the release of their new album, “Concrete and Gold,” and now, fans have a new tune to hold them over until the release of the album. “The Line,” the newest track from Foo Fighters’ upcoming ninth studio album,” is currently streaming via YouTube and available an instant download with pre-orders placed in advance of the release of “Concrete and Gold.”

The new record, “Concrete and Gold,” will arrive on on Sept. 15 via Roswell Records/RCA Records.

“The Line” is a quick tune, clocking in at just over two and a half minutes. It brings together Foo Fighters’ trademark singable melodies with heartfelt, relatable lyrics.

Frontman Dave Grohl describes the lyrics and song as “a search for hope in this day and age where you feel as if you’re fighting for your life with every passing moment, and everything is on the line,” in a release.

“The Line” is the third track that Grohl and company have released off “Concrete and Gold,” the other two being lead single “Run” and “The Sky Is A Neighborhood.”

The album is already doing well, judging by YouTube. “Run” was released on June 1 and scored more than 2 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours up. “Run” also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and quickly hit inside the top five of the iTunes video chart and the top of the 15 iTunes singles chart.

“Concrete and Gold,” which features 11 tracks, will hit stores on Sept. 15.
